Michael Andersen
Biography
Michael Andersen is a man of many talents, with a career spanning three decades in voiceover and radio. He’s been the voice of the Triple M network since 1997, featured as part of countless live programs working alongside some of Australia’s most respected comedians. His voice has also brought life to campaigns for some of Australia’s biggest companies, including McDonald’s, Qantas, and (well, pretty much everyone).
Still, he’s best known for Mount Colah Public School’s 1984 performance of Hamlet — although he only played the part of a tree, he brought real passion to the role. Eager to expand his skills, Michael is currently studying at the Actors Pulse Sydney, where he’s learning more about the craft and exploring the full range of his abilities.
He’s already an in-demand comedy and commercial actor, where his background in voiceovers has proven to be a valuable asset, making him adaptable, enthusiastic, and quick to take direction. While comedy is his natural instinct, his true passion lies in emotive performance, aiming to bring depth and authenticity to every production. Outside of acting, you’ll find Michael belting out karaoke hits, swinging a tennis racket, or being dragged around by his two dogs. He approaches each role with a genuine love for the craft, embracing every opportunity to grow, entertain, and — if necessary — stand perfectly still, just like that tree in Hamlet.
